We will use information supplied by you to provide your CV and career advice.  We will process any data, which you provide in completing the online registration and any further forms, assessments, or personal details that you complete or provide us with when using this site in accordance with UK data protection legislation. 5) Content Rights
The rights in material on this site are protected by international copyright; software and trademark laws and you agree to use this site in a way that does not infringe these rights.

7) Liability
We accept no liability for any loss (whether direct or indirect, for loss of business, revenue or profits, wasted expenditure, corruption or destruction of data or for any other indirect or consequential loss whatsoever) arising from your use of the site and we hereby exclude any such liability, whether in contract, tort (including for negligence) or otherwise. 8) Choice of Law and Jurisdiction

The courts of England are to have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in conjunction with the use of this web site or any agreement made through this web site.

9) Changes to terms and conditions and invalidity.
We may change these web site terms and conditions at any time. You will be deemed to accept the terms and conditions (as amended) when you next use this site following any amendment.

If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

10) Payment
Payment for CV Writing Service is payable in advance by Credit or Debit card.  Payments may be taken online or in some circumstances via cheque.

11) Completion of Standout CV Writing Service:

Following payment being processed you will receive confirmation and instructions regarding the CV Writing process, including a form to fill in if you do not have up to date career history on your CV.  We will use this information to compose your CV, contacting you via email, messenger or telephone as necessary to assure quality and accuracy of service.  All CVs will be formatted in Microsoft word unless otherwise agreed at the time of consultation. If you want to convert your CV into another format then you will do so at your own risk.  Completed CVs and all proof copies will be emailed to an account of your choosing.

12) Aftercare Terms and Conditions for our CV Writing Service
We will send a proof CV through to you for approval and will meet requests for alterations, free of charge, provided these are contained in a single communication to us.  Email the document, highlighting the required alterations to us and we will complete these within 1 business day of your email being received.

13) Our Complaints Procedure:
Please direct any complaint by email to 
accounts@standoutcv.co.uk.  When a complaint is received, the full details will be recorded and a response will be made to the customer within 5 working days.  Where the complaint is of a more complex nature and requires further investigation, the customer will be contacted within 5 working days and advised of this. The customer will be given an indication of how soon a full response will be made.  Where it is not possible for a complaint to be resolved, the customer will be given a clear explanation in writing.

14) Cancellation Policy for Purchased Services
Distance Selling Regulations shown here negate your right to cancel, as your contract commences when payment details are given by you.

Distance Selling Regulations

The supply of services and personalised goods, as outlined in Distance Selling Regulations 13, "the consumer will not have the right to cancel the contract by giving notice of cancellation pursuant to regulation 10", 13:1A and 13:1C in respect of contracts for the supply of services if the performance of the contract has begun with the consumer's agreement; before the end of the cancellation period.


However, we recognise clients can have a change of circumstance and therefore offer a cancellation policy, that balances the cost of our Administration Costs and Research Work undertaken, prior to a booking,:
If you cancel* your order prior to first proof copy of your Standout CV being dispatched then you will receive 100% of all all monies paid as a refund.  If you cancel after the first proof has been dispatched no refund shall be given.

* Cancellations are scheduled to the next working day, where cancellations are made outside of normal business hours.

Refunds due will be credited back to your card within 30 days of cancellation order.  All cancellations must be made in writing via email to both your consultant and
accounts@standoutcv.co.uk.

15) Disclaimer
All advice offered on this site and by Standout CV is given in good faith and is provided ‘as is’. We accept no responsibility if you should suffer loss or damage as a result of taking our advice.
